Overview
A well-planned curriculum and a relative program of activities associated with it will ensure the development of the learner (your child). The program shall balance active and quiet activities on a day-to-day basis. Most activities that allow your child to play indoor and outdoor are essential.
The medium of instruction may be in English or Filipino, or both. Concepts may be learned quickly in the language one understands. Hence, use vernaculars until the children have attained the facility and confidence in expressing themselves in English and Filipino.
The home set-up, or the arrangement of a specific spot in your house, will also play a vital role in aiding promising approaches of practical techniques to attain the most exciting way of facilitating your child’s learning needs.
General Curriculum
As part of the country’s educational system, Homeschooling Program also needs to adhere to the Education Department prescribed Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum or the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum. The minimum learning competencies in every lesson conform with the required Elementary Learning Competencies and the Secondary School Learning Competencies. The curriculum may be enhanced or improved based on the program of certified accrediting agencies recognized by the Education Department.
Furthermore, the overall design of the K to 12 Curriculum follows the spiral approach across subjects by building on the same concepts developed in increasing complexity and sophistication starting from grade school.

Physical Development
Physical Development includes gross and fine motor coordination through play and manipulative activities like games, simple work, and those that develop physical fitness.
Personal-Social Development
Personal-Social Development involves skills and behaviors about independence and social behavior. It includes developing healthy habits and independence in dressing, eating, sleeping, and toileting, relating with teachers, peers, and other people through group play and interaction. It also deals with developing the ability to follow the rules and routines. Learning about the family and other people like the community helpers is part of the concerns in the area.
Affective Development
Affective development includes experiences that help children develop a love for God, self, others, and community. Affective development also helps the children build awareness of their feelings and sense of right and wrong.
Cognitive Development
Cognitive development includes communication skills and sensory-perceptual and numeracy concepts. It consists of oral expression and essential listening, pre-reading, and writing skills. Sensory-perceptual and numeracy skills include developing ideas by observing, discriminating, and seeing details, similarities, differences, and understanding, counting, reading, and writing numbers. The development of numeracy involves the development of skills in describing, pairing, comparing, classifying, and ordering (sequencing). Introduce also money value and telling time.
